EV6 GT with more economical tires/rims?

  1. Hi all,
    I hate to be the "this may be a stupid question" guy, but here I am with what may very well be a stupid question.

    I am seriously looking at EV6 as my first all EV (trading from a Honda Clarity PHEV),. and in fact, I'm very close to deciding on the GT.

    I've read that part of the GT's lower range is due to the "yuge" 21" rims, and performance tires.

    So here's my question;
    Will standard 19" EV6 rims fit? (thinking of those big brakes)
    Could I have a 2nd set of rims with decent all weathers that will make the GT a little more long trip friendly? I understand that it won't make up the difference in range, but it will also offer other advantages, a smoother ride, etc. to have 19" rims.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. I don't know the answer to this, but I'll look around. It's definitely not a stupid question, though.

  4. So, poking around, it seems like you'll have to get a non-OEM wheel if you want to go smaller than the stock 21-inch. Right now, Tire Rack is apparently the only site that lists smaller wheel options for Kia EV6 GT.

  5. Thank you Domenick!
