Hey all, Here's a question that came up during a recent road trip with my wife. When you plug an iPod into the passenger's side USB port underneath the drive selector, the audio system enters a mode where the controls on the car can be used to choose what songs are played from the iPod. Is it possible to disable this feature, using that USB port only for charging instead? I've been digging through the manual (searching for "iPod" yields a lot of hits) and I haven't found anything yet.
I believe that if you switch the "Audio" source to USB or others than iPod/CarPlay, then the USB port will effectively become a charging port.
Yeah, I considered that - I was hoping for a solution that didn't involve making a special trip or buying more stupid stuff. I will have to give that a try!
