Finally the day has come going to pick up mini tomorrow. Thanks a lot to everyone here for calming my nerves while waiting.
Mine is still listed as "AT THE PORT" so still in Cali. It is probably due to my adding the piano black belt line trim which is port installed. I am hoping it will switch to "IN TRANSIT" soon. Likely will pick it up next weekend due to other activities this coming week. Still super excited!
How far away is your dealer? How could you stay away? I dropped everything and headed to my dealer the minute my MA called to tell me my SE had arrived (51 weeks after I placed my order before SE production began) even though it would take them a day for the prep (it could only take them a day because that was my dealer's last day in business).
They are only about 15-20 minutes away from me. The issue is one of logistics. Mon-Wed we are out of town for our anniversary. My wife then goes on a business trip on Thursday and won't be back until Saturday only to then leave on another one on Sunday. Getting to the dealer without a chauffeur gets tricky as well. (can't drive two cars back home at once)
Will do. I certainly didn’t think I was going to be one of the first in to confirm the 2 chargers. Mine has to travel to Calgary but I don’t know when it actually left Halifax, just that it’s en route.
Happy Anniversary! Your priorities are in the correct order. On our annual July anniversary night out I used to magnify the celebration by turning on the AC in my gen-1 Insight. The rest of the year the AC remained dormant in my meaningless, OCD pursuit of big MPGs. Things have changed: I don't track our SE's killowatt hours and have no reservations about using its AC whenever it seems appropriate.
Someone in another forum I follow shared these photos of the Southampton Port today. The Mini waiting garage looks awfully empty, which is promising for those still waiting. There’s also 2 vehicles currently at the port getting loaded (the blue being the ARC Independence, which will depart for Baltimore, USA tomorrow). https://www.minif56.com/threads/anyone-else-waiting-for-a-car-to-be-made.90572/post-876266
Well My BRG is going on two weeks at port and I guess since going to Cincy dealership will go Baltimore maybe ? - two weeks at port seems a long time. Fingers crossed...
Mine has also been at the port for 2 weeks (since 6/24). It does seem like it’s longer than the average wait based on the spreadsheet. You should be able to find out what port your vehicle is being shipped to on your order sheet.
Most of the Canada-bound SEs built in the second half of May sat at Southampton for about a month before winding up on on or the other of two RoRos that got to Halifax within a couple of days of each other last week.
Looks like mine switched to "in transit" today...guessing I'll be picking mine up this weekend maybe? [I'm north of Denver]
Mine switched on Sunday. I'm guessing ours are on the same truck. I'm south. I think i should have it by Saturday
Mine made it to the dealership today!! It switched to in transit on Sunday but I didn’t post it up. Still looking like I will be picking it up on Saturday though. Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
Good news, after a month of waiting at the Southampton Port my car was put on the Capricornus Leader and hopefully will be stateside Aug 1st. Was getting worried there was a holdup after it sat at the port for a month
Mine made it to the store today. If they took 80 across, yours was probably dropped off before the shot down I25 with mine. I should have it tomorrow.
Got a 30 second video. No wrap since it has hood stripes. no unwrapping party. I can pick it up tonight, but we have a $5 tickets to the Rockies (2x5=15 new math), so I will pick it up tomorrow morning. They aren't washing it, just spraying it since the car wash isnt touchless. still has the plastic on the seats. Just like I asked. Since I will be picking it up on 7-14, should I call it Rorer or Lemmon? Maybe Quay. Old former (or current) degenerates like me will understand.
