Daily commute range

    Triple the agony of going to the MINI Garage over and over to check three seldom-changing line-graphs.

    Sorry, I should have clarified that I'd trade-in/sell the i3 for the Mini Cooper SE. I mean - I'd love to have 3 EVs, but I don't think my finances would appreciate it, nor our driveway...

    We will comfortably drive 43 miles to a grocery store (86 miles round trip) two or three times a month. Usually two people in the car plus groceries. Currently using the heat set to 70F in the rain plus saturated wet roads, half highway driving at about 60-65 mph, the remaining drive with speeds between 40-50 mph, outside temperatures below 40F.

    We do have charging infrastructure along that route, offering peace of mind. But they haven't been necessary for those errands.

    While he loves your cars and your long range/in-town strategy, this naval officer must point out that if you do not swap the positions of your parked vehicles, you risk a ship sailing through the back of your garage.
