Suddenly GM has something to say about Cruz again. Why? Because Tesla has FSD beta release tomorrow. GM keeps acting like it can counter Tesla, when it can't counter Tesla on anything. Why bother? It should just give up and self liquidate. Its efforts are utterly pathetic. It just appears to be doing this stuff to string along it share holders as usual. GM is actually an obstacle to addressing climate. Now its saying it got a permit to drive Bolts unattended in San Francisco. Well something like 4 years ago it was saying it had full self driving cars in San Francisco. Yeah Right. In the FUD comments on this site a shill was saying he sees these all over the place in SF. Surely not the case and if it were its not what he thinks. What this means in the case of Google's Waymo as surely for GM is that the vehicle would be remotely attended and as GM noted it wasn't the first to get this permission. Who was? Surely Google's Waymo. It does seem to be the case that Waymo was entering SF and then pulled out. Why would that be? It does seem to be the case that the Bolt cars have a rig on top that looks identical to the Waymo rig. Hmm why would that be? Oh right probably because of something obvious like Waymo using Chevy supplied Bolts to carry out its internal mapping and testing because Cruz is just more Nikola style bs to string along shareholders and GM suffering from never made here as nothing more than a vitamin label formulary and GM planning all along on rolling over for Google and Android auto just as it came out that Herb Diess didn't want VW to do because it would further commoditize away margins. So it looks like what we have is GM pretending to have something when its just repackaged Waymo under a Cruz front. Who made the Bolt- not GM, but a Korean supplier. What is Ultium? Oh right its what LG decides to give GM. Does any one think LG takes GM seriously? No, surely LG sees GM as the compliance volume, limp home to bailout on 2nd bankruptcy foregone conclusion blame regulation and covid placator non player it is. GM couldn't even manage to be on the right side of CARB but in the mean time Bara says GM is going tripple zero but that ICE will be thriving in the mid 2040s. GM seems is in contempt of public, it is OJ-ing itself. What is next from GM? More GM sponsored Navigant blather on Cadilac Cruz as leading self driving? Or saying the JD Powers report GM sponsors says GM products are higher quality than Honda? Want to see a GM that would begin to look viable again. Let it announce this: 1. Permanently ceasing all ICE and hydrogen development. 2. It supports CARB 3. No more spending on advertising. 4. No more stock buy backs or exec optiond. 6. Its delisting and converting to full employee ownership but board, execs, managers, supervisors can never own shares. 7. Only retired employees- 20 years service plus can sit on board- can't sit on any other board concurrently or for 5 years afterward, can't have any other concurrent employer. 8. GM provides its own internal non investment based medical insurance and pension. 9. Only rank and file membership chooses managers, execs, board members and supervisors. 10. It gets rid of its dealerships but gives dealership employees hiring preference.
