  1. $5000 Federal incentive applies to all provinces and there is a Plug and Drive $1000 incentive for used EV purchases ( last time I looked).

  4. For Canadian business owners the generous federal capital cost allowance for EVs can be even better incentive. I got $14.3K of my income taxes back buying the Kona. Keep in mind you have to forgo the personal 5K federal incentive and there are several other factors such amount of business usage and your nominal tax rate that will affect any gains.

  5. For those in USA, this new price incentive may be enough to make that more a reality for prospective EV owners
    "Ending April 30, Hyundai is offering $7,500 off the purchase price of a 2024 Kona Electric. This offer is valid on all trims and provides a notable discount as the credit makes up a hefty percentage of the vehicle's price. The Kona Electric SE now runs $26,550, just $1,065 more than a Nissan Leaf with the IRA tax credit."
