What's happening is the ramification of what Oil Price noted where among other signs Super Tankers of which there are about 900 in the world are now making half their transoceanic journeys filled with water where they used to make them full of oil both ways- that right there implies a 50% reduction in oil demand and if not that is a serious sign of rock solid reductions. Another sign Saudi Arabia is selling off all of its oil assets (because it knows these won't be worth much) and at its initial IPO apparently the price wasn't high enough so supposedly coincidentally half of its distribution/processing terminals were supposedly destroyed by missile strikes (or drones of some sort) but that still didn't raise the prices much. Now recently we are supposed to believe that cartel price fixers failed to collude on a profit enhancing agreement and that is responsible for the price continuing to drop- you see it is continuing to drop because the world doesn't need this crap any more. Same reason the Tec tar sands deal collapsed in Canada- superior replacements create a lack of demand which creates a permanently stranded asset that must be written off as a total loss. No government is going to be able to bail this garbage out. I think we can be sure that corona virus is about keeping this and Bernie out of the headlines. Corona virus fills up the whole Google News docket and then day after day there is nothing on Google Trends because people don't search for it because with 6doff and social media speed they see its not hitting their circles and people in the US have friends and family around the world- so they see by their actions apparently see through it because its not interesting enough to search for- doesn't make the daily top ten. Their main story line about failed collusion is about as stupid as thinking there is such a thing as cheap gas or oil of the fossil fuel industry has any levers left, they were all sheared off, brake and gas peddle connect to nothing. No not even remotely cheap no matter the cost when its massively subsidized and constantly bailed out from billions of angles. Plus it doesn't meaning anything- how stupid, just look BMW cancelled its new high end SUV in the US because the Model Y destroys it in every way possible and even if you're getting ripped off by not having your own power wall and home panels and paying way too much its still 1/8 the cost per mile to run than the obsolete brand new BMW ICE SUV. Speaking of BMW- look at the reviews of the new MP3 with V2 track mode and performance package- it utterly destroys BMW M3- it was already way better now its massively better as even BMW fan boys recognize. And they try to say oil's collapse impacted Tesla's share price. How stupid would someone have to be to believe that? Green energy will take the cost of energy down to .0001 cents a kwh pretty quickly and fossil fuels will never get cheaper- green is permanently cheaper now by multiples even with a temporary drop in the price of oil and even if oil falls far below where any supplier can stay afloat Green will still be multiples cheaper and getting orders of magnitude cheaper with flat ultra reliable cost curves which are comparatively priceless. Can't wait for this to collapse the shale delusion. Kept thinking when the dems have been running people caught up in shale slime that those people should be behind bars not running for office.
