  1. As part of its new "EV Comparison" series, InsideEVs takes a close look at how the Chevy Bolt and the Hyundai Kona Electric matchup.

Though they are pretty different vehicles, I think a lot of people will still cross shop them to some extent. If you are in the market, this is a must-read.

    The various points examined include:
How Far Can You Go on Electricity?
Which Car Is More Fun to Drive?
Charging Times for the Bolt and Kona Electric
Comparing Dashboards, Interior and Cargo Space
Which has the Best Regenerative Braking System?

Amprera-E price in Norway went up "from NOK 289,900 (~$35,500 USD) to NOK 349,900 (~$43,000 USD)". 64k Kona-E price in Norway $39,813 USD I believe. Not sure what they'll cost in the US, but I suspect the Kona may be priced about $2k USD over the Bolt's $37,495.

An important question is: will there be any available in your state? I think for most shoppers, it will be harder to buy than the Kia Soul EV was in 2017. I thought I read Hyundai was shooting for 100k annual production (globally), while I could imagine a demand of 150k in the US alone. But I also read there were only 2k produced (+/- 300) per month for June and July. Only 2k/month production smells like "vaporware."
