I'm having this issue where I can't lock the charging port door on the front of my 2019 Kona EV. Originally, I couldn't get it open and I was running out of juice. I tried pulling that little cable under the hood but that didn't help. So, I wedged my fingers under the door and pulled it open. Now that little "pop-out thing" on the right inside doesn't pop out. Because of that, the door doesn't latch closed. It doesn't look like replacing that assembly is an easy do-it-yourself kind of thing (or maybe it is). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Jed K
It's a common problem and in every case reported on forums repairs were covered under warranty. Can you imagine the outcry if it wasn't?
