The Facebook group has several reports of that, all in the US and one even said that all affected US-based Konas would be offered buybacks.
So they should offer buy backs. I bought this car for the range, and now I've lost about 100km of range. I would not have bought it with that reduced range. I'm in Canada, so probably out of luck. Who knows when they will replace the battery, and in the meantime it has very little trade-in value.
The reduced range is really irritating me, as I bought the vehicle for when I had to do long highway runs. Normally I could do the return trip and wouldn't need to charge and pay for it on the road as its more expensive. Now anytime I do that trip I'm forking out min $10. So in no time, that slap in the face 200bux will be depleted. My wife has stopped driving it and is terrified something is gonna go wrong when she drives it.
