I've seen one pickup in Huntsville belch black smoke on demand which makes me smile. Although maybe directed at me, it actually draws negative attention to the coal-roller. In effect, the black cloud turns off the drivers around me about that crappy pickup. So I simply change lanes and if necessary, roll up the windows and switch on the A/C (I change my cabin filters anyway.) A harder problem, parking that blocks the charging station is handled by my 24 ft., J1772 extension cord. I can park a couple of spots away, even around the corner, and still get a charge. Furthermore, I have a handicap hanger for my wife and can use those parking places to reach the charger either directly or via the extension cord. Of course my last resort, I put our plug-in hybrids in hybrid mode and drive off on gas. The same solution when someone else is already using the charger. Bob Wilson
