Curious if others have seen this warning. It's come up a few times for me in the past ~year with no explanation. Haven't noticed any ill effects.

It seems like it has something to do with preconditioning, but I've never used preconditioning. I have the charging window set to be 100% at 2am.

This warning came up yesterday morning, the car was not plugged in.

I’ve seen a similar message when I pull into a DC charger at a low low state of charge and try to activate “comfort climate” while charging. When this happens there is no AC function. It disappears and the AC works normal once I unplug the car and drive off.

The AC system is shared with battery cooling.

I have had the Mini refuse to fire up the cabin cooling when at low a state of charge at a fast charger.
Essentially the cooling system struggles to cope with the task of cooling the battery doing charging AND the cabin. In essence it seems undersized.
