Three charging infrastructures badly needed in California.

Interstate "the" 5 from the grapevine to Los Banos that links Southern California to Oregon.

Interstate 15 from Victorville to Las Vegas.

Interstate 10 from Palm Springs to Phoenix, AZ.

First 50 kW CCS/Chademo charge station installed with the CEC north-south corridor program put on-line in near my office in Redding last month. Also two L2 J1772 stations. It's by Chargepoint. No free program involved. I checked it out last week. The utility put in a dedicated 300 kVA transformer and switchgear, so they have capacity to upgrade to 150 kW chargers in the future. The plan is to install a station every 20-30 miles along I-5 between the OR border and San Diego. Not all will be Chargepoint. Several vendors were selected for various corridors.
