a few days back a discussion between Pu-Pu & Martin [was it?] mentioned Biotic-v-Abiotic oil. Skeptoid has an opinion on this, for anyone interested; conclusion- abiotic oil is a myth, largely & could never be a viable source of oil. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?hl=en#inbox/162688e67cee2bae
Abiotic oil - is that the idea that we have an infinite amount of oil, because it just forms inside the earth? Yeah - that is bunk ...
"Infinite" is a terrible term as nothing is truly. We have an infinite supply of energy in the ground from the perspective of any living human, as in it's not going to run out in our lifetime. But nothing on earth or anywhere is infinite. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
True enough. BUT human existence is by no means infinite, in fact we seem to be on the edge of extinction as a society. Theoretical power from known reserves of thorium is many thousands of years, though.
