I think the 25K Tesla will be much better than people understand. I suspect it will be almost entirely constructed from aluminum with almost all of the parts cast instead of stamped. It will be super ridgid and will have double pane windows and great seats and tons of leg and head room. It will have the best paint job at any price. It will go more than 315 miles on a charge. It will be super light and accelerate 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. It will weigh about 3000lbs. And of course it will have FSD but maybe a Starlink element by then or mesh or both along with 5g. And it will hold a lot more than people would think possible. No side mirrors and less switches and knobs than a Model Y. And it will handle like the best sports car with great braking. It will also be objectively obviously better than a 150k ICE Mercedes of the same year. Can't compare these? Oh yes you can. Can compare them the way you could compare a 2020 Honda Accord to a 1980 GM Station Wagon. The difference will be greater than that in favor of the Tesla. What would happen if RIM brought back its first 1999 Blackberry for $1500 each and tried to launch that antiquanted brick into the 2023 market? Same kind of thing. Comparatively the Mercedes will be a slow, lumbering, laggy, buzzy, noisy, less safe ICE pos that makes its owner look like a stupid, weak, irresponsible totally out of touch poseur wannabe. But oh they will have white walnut on the dash and black seats in the front.... it will be true trashy luxury worthy of high end ICE...like something the Lucid management would think people would want. On the other hand just saw a supposed spy shot of a Mercedes S that look more like a large mid 2000s Honda Civic in shape and less like a 90s Chrysler 300 of the prior shots. That's going in the right direction as long as its a from the ground up BEV, but we know it won't be because Daimler just said so. But even if it were it won't matter because they are missing the 4680, which would be like missing "Intel Inside" when that meant something- but much worse actually because Intel often was more marketecture than substance. Tesla is pure secret sauce and the ICE makers are pure buggy makers. What does it matter if a buggy costs 150k in the age of the Model T when it still shts all over the place and there are signs all over saying no horses and pick up your damn road apples! Oh we have buttery velvet switches. Yep, we have a knob in the middle of your iPhone screen. Brilliant knobs at Ford thought it would be great to install the BMW idrive knob rider in the middle of the cell phone screen as Tesla emmulation done one better. As they announce that they are the only green auto maker and every one laughs at them. This is just how it is, you can market your 2 way pager GSM 2 or 3 CDMA/TDMA Black Berry against mature 5G and Starlink all you want it won't get you anywhere. If you think about why Tesla can for instance run cast aluminum into shape of amost every part in the vehicle but Audi just did a token stamped aluminum A8 a million years ago and Ford just did some gimickey aluminum stampings for its Ford pick ups and then they drop it, its because its all just because these companys don't exist to do more than make money for inbred fossil fuel oligarchies like Fords marry Rockerfellers marry Quandts marry Rothschilds marry Porsches mary Hapsburgs mary Schiffs marry Warburgs marry Windsors marry Morgans but the world doesn't need this obsolete blue blooded game of thrones nonsense anymore. Qualification for running one of these ICE companies is allegiance to that nonsense. And that is literally what is in the way of addressing climate change and getting desperately needed sufficient basic incomes in the face of automation because these a holes want shoe shine boys an endless pick of concubines and cannon fodder.
