Greetings one and all: I'm new to this forum, so apologies if this has been asked and answered before. I've been interested in purchasing a new Kona EV, and I went to my local dealer in Naples FL to inquire about possibly ordering one. When I told the sales rep I was interested in an EV, he looked confused and said, "a what?" One of the other sales reps had to tell him it was the electric. At that point he said you can only get them in California. He also said they can't trade for one with a dealer who has one. Is he correct? I saw an article from 2019 that said Hyundai would only sell them to residents of ZEV states. Does that still hold true? Even if you can get one, what does anyone do about any issues that arise if their local dealer doesn't support it?
