I was hoping to purchase a 2018 Bolt (Arctic Blue, Premier, DC Fast Chg, Active Safety) until my local dealer notified me that there are none within 400 miles and GM has shut down the 2018 assembly lines. The 2019s can't be ordered before mid/late June. Looking for reliable intel on 2019 models, i.e. colors, options, pricing, etc.
Yep, your dealer is correct, 2018 production ends next month, but last week was the last chance to place orders. Orders will be closed until next month. The 2019 Bolt is mostly identical to the 2018 but there are some new color options and some active safety features are now available on the LT trim. Uh oh. I placed my order a week ago but haven't heard back from the dealer. Wondering if it will actually go through. If I can't order until the end of June and for a 2019, wonder if the dealer will still honor our price. Any info on when the 2019's will actually start shipping?
My dealer in Wilmington De looked out over 400 miles and couldn't find a match. I checked online and found one in Northern California. I spoke with the sales person who wanted $2000 for shipping plus all taxes, etc. I think I'll wait.
There are 3 new colors, as I understand it: a "mist green", a slate gray (another gray!?), and a color called "Shock". I think some of the options that up until now were only available on the Premier, will be also possible on the LT.
Just found out that the factory, after accepting my order for 2018, notified the dealer it won't be produced after all. To the credit of Kendall Chevrolet in Eugene Oregon, they agreed to honor the price we had agreed on for a 2019, plus throw in all weather mats. Since I'm not in a hurry, this is probably actually a benefit to me. They supposedly open 2019 reservations on Thursday and I'll be one of the first in line.
Interesting. CT is 279 miles from Wilmington, DE. Whenever I do a search in CT, there are a good few Bolts around. There is a 2018 Premier at the dealer I bought my 2017 Premier. Its in White going for 41k. Maybe your exact specs are limiting.
