Sorry—I was just talking about materials for $500. 75 feet of AWG 6 is like $350 at Home Depot. $150 for a 50A GFCI breaker in the box.
Yeah I got that. In my case it was only 15 feet, but I installed the device box and ran the 6/3 through the wall studs to code, and into the panel, and the electrician spent all of 20 minutes installing the receptacle in the device box and the breaker in the panel. $270.
Installed the ridiculously expensive plastic mounting kit. Had to do it horizontally to keep the twist on the cable to a minimum, awkward but tidy. Left the U bracket by the side to support the weight in case the mounting kit fails. P-poor design from BMW!
