Nice to see that a few people are getting something other than white and grey! (Loving my white though)
Civic motors in Ottawa has a Base 831 and Touring 860 listed on their site and on Kijiji. The base is sold, but the Grey Touring is still available.
I might possibly be biased, but I absolutely LOVE this car in white. I think it looks awesome, and I've received quite a few compliments. I'm really shocked that some people consider this an "ugly" car, because I think it is just the opposite. And that is not me squinting with rose-colored glasses because I'm trying to like it. I really think it is a very cool-looking car!
Admit it, Amy, you waited so long for your Clarity, you've been wearing those rose-colored glasses for months! No, this is not a Mary Kay Clarity.
For anyone that is in the Ottawa area and has a Level 2 charger installed, do you have a recommendation for a good and reasonably priced electrician? I am thinking of getting one and need an estimation and also to see if my panel is good to get a 40 or 50A breaker as the house is 30 years old
Just saw this news on driving.ca. BNN, CBC and other news agency also carries this story. Tesla is suing the Ontario government for the cancellation of the EV program and since Tesla has no dealership, Tesla owner does not get the Sept 10th grace period to get the rebate https://driving.ca/tesla/auto-news/news/tesla-files-suit-against-ontario-government-over-cancelled-ev-rebates CBC link: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/tesla-canada-sues-ontario-government-1.4788073 Edit: not sure why but the link does not work sometimes, just search driving.ca tesla sue ontario government
The lawsuits interconnected to the scrapping of the Cap and Trade are going to end up more expensive than the program payouts. Just like the canning of the Hydro One CEO, which Ford said got rid of the $6 million man. Right, by making him the $9 million man after buying out the contract with no severance.. Don’t need severance if your going to pay $9 million! This is just the beginning, I’m sure there will be lawsuits by wind energy firms and solar firms and Etc etc. Some of them may be too small for the news, but I bet they are going to happen, and be quietly paid off. I had excellent service from Ring Electric (ringelectric.ca or 613-421-4442) and would certainly recommend them. Very clean and professional installation. BTW I purchased an Elmec charger which Ring installed for me. I'm very happy with my setup - 2.5 hours for a full charge.
Sorry! First time poster! Clarity - Base - White Ordered end of February Delivered yesterday. Hopefully the rebate still happens - I couldn't find any info about the charger rebate which was all complete (Luckily) before the July 11th announcement.
I didn’t want to jinx it when the VIN number that had been shared showed up on Honda’s systems. However, I am finally happy to confirm that I received my car today. What started out as a steel grey base model ended up as a White Touring and truly one of the most bizarre 6 month wait for a car. I had multiple cars confirmed and then cancelled. I tracked cars across the country trying to nab one before the election, and in the end had to bump to a touring in order to get the car at all. Thankfully I agreed to the touring before the cancellation of evhip and now have received the car in time to make the deadline. So relieved and excited to see this car in action. I’m going to be putting it through it’s paces, my commute is 90km so will be maxing the battery and will be using HV on the highway portion. Very interested to see what kind of mileage I’ll manage! That's great news, and thank you for sharing. I hope that you were able to get the benefit of your original bargain when you upgraded to the Touring. Even if not, the car is an amazing value. I'd like to know, what was the latest order date of anyone who has been delivered a Base model? The issue is that Honda has been advertising (and still continues to advertise) the 2018 Clarity Base model, yet as far as I can tell nobody has been able to successfully order one since mid-March.
