It's a good review but did you see how the car did not track the road when he lifted his hands off the steering wheel? I wonder if he did not turn on the LKAS correctly. If I don't turn on using the button on the steering wheel and see the solid lines, it will not steer around corners. The video makes it looks like the Clarity LKAS is not working at all.
I didn't see this review by testdrivenow mentioned in this forum. It is a month old. The guy Steve Hammes mentions that he preferred driving the Clarity over the Cadillac CT6 (probably top of the line at $90k). I haven't seen any good long term reviews. The only review I see is an interview by the Honda Dude. I was wondering if us owners could put together a long term review and get everyone's input.
I’m going to do a in-depth under the hood tutorial. I haven’t seen one and I think it would explain a lot that hasn’t been covered. I just got my car a few weeks ago so I wanted to wait until I got a good feel for it before tearing into it. I’ll post it here once it’s ready.
Does YouTube allow 10-hour videos? You'll need that much time if you go deep enough to explain how the big battery works with a DC-to-DC converter to provide variable voltage to the traction motor to maximize efficiency. Will you describe how Honda protects the big battery from a debilitating complete discharge or a damaging overcharge? What about the reason that the Clarity PHEV is pickier than other plug-in cars when it comes to accepting a charge from public EVSEs? You'll have a fun time trying to differentiate between the many user-accessible modes and the underlying 3 modes that the Clarity uses behind the scenes (EV drive mode, HV drive mode, and Engine drive mode). It will be interesting to see how you deal with unanticipated ICE activation and also to see your explanation of how and why the Clarity PHEV's pseudo engine braking (eg. for going down a mountain) differs from that of the Accord Hybrid (the Accord doesn't start its engine so it can somehow use up excess electricity). We'll enjoy reading your text here and we'll help you make it completely accurate and we'll also point out additional information you could include. This is the friendliest, almost troll-free, forum in which I've ever participated.

Why say it's $10K more than a base Accord without mentioning the $7,500 fed tax credit? And doesn't Massachusetts have an additional $2.5K break to fully nullify that $10K difference, which makes the Clarity PHEV the obvious choice for those who can plug in?
