I think we've just about hit the same pricing deals as 2019.

I'm about to pick up a 2020 Base model from a Nor Cal Bay Area dealer
    Discounted price $25,883
    BS Add ons $368
    OTD $29,220

I got my 2019 Base from Diamond in 12/19 and so I tried them last month for 2020 before I picked up the 2019 Touring from another dealer and they did not want to budge on the 2020 at the time........Oh well.

They gave me a higher price at first, but i told the sales guy my max was $30k and to let me know if they can do that price in the future. After a week he texted me and said he a different manager approved it.

  5. Aren't the vins assigned by the manufacturer at the factory and stamped on the vehicle? How could the vin have anything to do with the dealership?

    Walnut Creek Honda.

In the /r/clarity subreddit, someone picked up a base for $25,999 from Autowest Honda Fremont yesterday

Thanks. Absolutely amazing we are still only in September and dealers are already offering $8k+ discounts off MSRP.

  10. Agreed Hedgefundie. Honda bumped the dealer incentive from $2,000 to $4,500 on September 1, and I think they were very disappointed with the Labor Day holiday sales numbers. Now they've bumped the incentive up to $6,500 which is $500 higher than the incentive a year and a half ago. So whereas a year ago the best deals were around $26,000 for the base model and $29,000 for the Touring, we should now expect to see the best deals around $25,500 for the Base and $28,500 for the Touring. Keep an eye on the inventories. I think that is the most important predictor as to where prices will trend from here.

Based on this, how much would you pay right now for a new 2019 Touring?

    I’m thinking $25k + TTL?

  14. I remember seeing a post in this same thread from a little over a year ago, where the going rate for a good deal on a 2019 was $29k and someone did a deal on a 2018 for $28.5k. So $25k might be a little unrealistic. Right now, I would pull the trigger on a 2020 Touring at $28.5k, and if someone offered me a 2019 for $1,000 less I would take it, but not for $500 less. The big challenge for me here in Sacramento is getting dealerships to match the prices offered in Socal or the Bay Area.

For those outside of CA/ZEV states, I purchased a 2019 Touring last week for $30k + TTL from a dealer in Socal. I live in a state on the East Coast that doesn't qualify for any dealer incentives. I'm getting the car trucked over here, so no CA taxes paid. For what it's worth, I'm really pleased with how easily the dealer handled the out-of-state transaction. Happy to share dealer info and contact over DM.

I was quoted $29,500 before TTL for a 2020 Clarity touring here in SoCal. I want to pay $27k plus fees and given the new dealer incentives from Honda that might be more feasible in the near future. Can someone confirm The incentive increased to $4500 this month?

I was quoted $28,500 for a 2019 plus TTL for a touring. It came with $1500 worth of dealer accessories and the price would of been the same if I didn’t want them. The car sold already. $27k-28k would be more realistic for a 2019.

Was that quote from Scott Robinson.....just wondering as that is the deal I got from there last month.
Not many 2019 Tourings left in SoCal but it looks like the 2020 Tourings might get pretty close to the $28,500..........Kinda wonder if I should have waited but oh well, too late now.

  19. The new incentive WAS $4,500 on Sept 1 but was subsequently increased to $6,500. I'm assuming that means Honda was not impressed with the sales numbers over the Labor Day holiday.

Just bought a 2020 Clarity Touring for $28,500 +TTL in SoCal so the price is there now.

The new rebate is $6500 and prices are back to $8-9K discount on 2020 Clarity on both Touring/Base.

I am quoted $25,500 for Base and $28,500 for Touring in Oregon. With additional $7500 Fed + $2500 (Oregon rebate), Base is coming at $15,500 + TTL($1000).

Difficult to resist knowing due to COVID, the driving is limited anyways.
