Any better tire options that won't decrease range?

I read threads on here and different forums and almost everyone that got rid of the Nexens ended up with less range. Are there any tire options that won't decrease range?? I'm in no way a fan of the Nexens but if they are the tires that give me the best range, I will stay with them whenever it's time for me to change..

It's hard to quantify, but when I switched from the Nexens to Michelin CrossClimate+'s, I would say my 4.2/4.3 mi/kWh average dropped to 3.8/3.9. But it has also been getting a lot colder, so it's hard to say for sure if it dropped a LOT.

I think I remember you were in FL, right? You won't need a super grippy tire like the Crossclimate for winter use, so perhaps there are other LRR tires out there that would work well?

Incidentally, I've been having issues with the CrossClimate+ tires, and am going back this afternoon to have them try to rebalance them, or perhaps change them out to something else. Leaning towards the Nokian WRG4 as that was my second choice (and some others on this forum reported having those tires as well on the Kona).

I'm indeed in Florida, so snow driving is not a concern. I want the most efficient tires possible. I want the maximum range possible. The Nexens seem to be very good when it comes to range. I can't recall seeing any thread on any forum where someone actually improved efficiency with different tires.

I haven't seen that either, as it seems that most people want to replace the Nexens with tires that have better grip for inclement weather (or more .. spirited driving)...

I have found tirerack to be a good resource for tire reviews though. Some tire brands like Goodyear have "fuelmax" etc. I would imagine those are generally better than the regular tires from a range perspective. But how they compare to the Nexens is tough to figure out as the Nexens don't appear to have much test data associated with them on the various tire sites on the 'net...

I ran these on both my Leafs and was extremely pleased with them ( needless to say the last thing needed on Leaf was a reduction in range due to tires). Great traction (except when snow in winter) and minimal wear c/w equal or better range than the Ecopias standard on most Leafs.

I am happy with my Nexens. Even bought a 2nd set of barely used ones (for $80) for when the first ones wear out. Yeah, easy to spin, but only if I am too heavy on the pedal. Don't get much snow where I live, and have another car with true winters for that. I am happy that they get good range, and not too noisy. That's most important to me.

I can't complain about them either.. If I was driving more aggressively, they would not be my choice but I mostly take it easy.. However, today, I was driving at a local road with a 50 mph speed limit and a car in front of me was driving 40 mph.. I switched to sports mode and passed him. When I floored the pedal at 40 mph, the car chirped the tires, accelerating from 40 mph.. Gotta love the Kona's acceleration...

According to Consumer Reports, the Vredestein Quatrac 5 has the lowest rolling resistance of any tire they tested.
I coincidentally bought them for my Civic two years ago. They are quite good on snow and ice, but not all that quiet.

Never heard of that brand.. Not sure if they are available locally for me.
