How often do you DC Fast Charge?

I have no issues with the Level 2 charging speed. As long as I can get my car charged up overnight, I don't need faster Level 2 charging speed. If I go on a road trip, I use level 3 chargers anyways. Most level 2 ESVE stations are less than 7 kwh anyways, so what good would a 11 kwh onboard charger do?

Not much, but the 3 phase is a lot more common in Europe, that's why they upgrade the charger only for the European version.

Are Level 2 Stations with > 8 kwh common in Europe?
I don't know. I've never driven an ev in Europe. I am from Europe but live in the US now. I just know that 3 phase is pretty common as far as I am aware of.

I'm from Europe too (Austria) but I've been in the US for over 22 years..
I've driven in an EV once in Austria during my trip there last March. A friend whom I went to school with in Austria has a Tesla Model X P100D... Amazing ride..

More common, partly because of the popularity of the Renault Zoe that does not have DC charging but instead either a 22 or 43 kW AC charger. Same here, the charger near me has a 43 kW Type 2 cable along with the Chademo/CCS which I regularly charge my Kona on, at a slow 7.4 kW of course. It also leaves the DC free for others. Other locations here have a 22kW 3-ph Type 2 socket and that is the government's recommended setup. Type 1 AC or CCS chargers exist but are very rare. My flat has 3-ph 63 amp service but I can't get my car close enough to use it.

1.73 times as fast to be exact (in a European residential application for now) , cost increase to the converter (OBC) is minimal while providing a substantial decrease in charging time. Perhaps public charging will steer in this direction ...eventually:
