I have the US version, but Gjpzee has the Canadian version, right?Do you have the US or Canada version of the car? I wonder if this issue is only with the US version.
I don't know, but I believe it is some kind of alarm because when it first started it was only one single "lasershot". Now it's about 10 as you can hear in the video. Here's an off the wall guess, could it be related to the audio system? Like some sort of audio calibration tool that is getting triggered somehow?
I have about 350 miles only. I haven't noticed an increase yet.How many miles do you have on your car? I'm at about 1650. I'm just thinking since the lasershots increased it might have to do with miles driven?
Did you notice an increase?

(Edit: just read that you're in the US as well)

The dealership thinks that too, but has no clue what it is, only that they think it's nothing serious since there is no error codes in the cars system.

Is there any chance it's a seatbelt warning? Are you placing a load on the (empty) passenger seat that's triggering it? Just a thought.Any luck with this yet? The alarm still goes off for me when I start. There may have been though a time or two where it did not go off. I am used to it now. But its still a mystery! I still wonder if this affects the US versions only.
You know, I'll check on that, because I have my work bag on the passenger seat a lot. Will put it in the back tonight to check. Is there any chance it a seatbelt warning? Are you placing a load on the (empty) passenger seat that's triggering it? Just a thought.
Nope, there is nothing on the passenger seat!Is there any chance it's a seatbelt warning? Are you placing a load on the (empty) passenger seat that's triggering it? Just a thought.
So what is the voltage of your accessory battery measured with a meter?Nope, there is nothing on the passenger seat!

The first thing I would do is reset the electronics with a 12V battery disconnect/reconnect and see if that makes a difference.
Could't hurt, but I think a 12V disconnect/reconnect(after 5 minutes minimum) is in order. Maybe mention it to the dealer so they can help re calibrate the windows and sunroof (if equipped). You know, I have that setting activated that is supposed to keep the 12V battery charged through the high voltage battery pack. I'll turn that off and see if that has something to do with it.

It might be a way to get rid of it. The question then still remains what it actually is.Could't hurt, but I think a 12V disconnect/reconnect(after 5 minutes minimum) is in order. Maybe mention it to the dealer so they can help re calibrate the windows and sunroof (if equipped).
So that setting made a difference. I am stillI had no alarm today. I also measured the 12V battery and it showed 12.45V.

Great, so it had something to do with that setting. I guess we only really need that setting checked when storing the car for more than a week or two. Shouldn't matter for daily driving.I had no alarm today. I also measured the 12V battery and it showed 12.45V.

Hmm...yes no one else here seems to have had this issue. It's still a mystery why the alarm came on and why it increased. At least for now its off.So are we really the only ones that turned that on? And why did the alarm increase?
