At this point, Tesla fire death rate has exceeded that of Ford Pinto's.

Historically we find the weeks leading up to the quarterly reports are when TSLA reaches a local minimum. Tesla is effectively muzzled so the SHORT sellers can make a lot of unchallenged claims.
Is the law of the country finally working to rope in one of the biggest fraudsters...
Yep, I know the exact right fit who just came out of fedderal penetenciary! His name is something something Skilling. Elon will like him a lot.Yup. I predicted this would happen. And I'm certainly not happy about being right in this case.
As many people including myself have said, Tesla needs to appoint someone to filter Elon's tweets before they are sent out. He can't be allowed to post directly to Twitter; he's proven that he is not capable of acting as his own censor.
Can't delete twitter account. Paid a whole bunch to reputation.com to buy all those bot followers. And it will be much harder to send out fraudulent tweet sand flase advertizing and sales claims on other media. Twitter OTOH is a scanfest and Elon knows it all too well.Whether or not Elon and/or Tesla get wrist-slapped again over this latest tweet, it seems inevitable to me that this same controversy will reoccur until either Tesla does exactly that, or until Elon stops tweeting altogether.
I certainly hope that Elon won't delete his twitter account, altho based on the history of such things, that looks like the most likely outcome. Elon's Twitter presence and following certainly are one of the major sources of free marketing for Tesla. But free advertising from social media has always been a two-edged sword, and the back side of that blade has wounded Tesla's public image more than once.
So, Elon lies "500K cars", it becomes "5000K cars". Lol. More fun.![]()
This is the catch all news channel for Tesla. The only news channel people ever need to follow to learn all about Tesla and its fantastic man child CEO Elon Tusk.I posted some news to Domenick's "The madness of Musk and double-edged Twitter" thread.
Because, you know, not all discussion of Tesla news should be restricted to one thread created by this forum's sole remaining serial Tesla basher as a place for his endless stream of FUD.
The Shelburne Police Department tells Popular Mechanics that the owner of the vehicle took their Tesla onto the ice to go fishing, and that at some point during the expedition the car hit a rock. The car started making unusual noises, and shortly after that caught fire. No one was hurt.
The specific cause of the fire is as-yet unknown. People on Tesla forums who saw the crazy pictures began to speculate about insurance fraud or some other oddball explanation, but the most likely explanation would be a battery failure. If damaged, lithium-ion batteries can rapidly discharge their stored energy in the form of heat, leading to an inferno. The bigger the battery, the bigger the fire. Teslas necessarily have giant battery back, so if the car suffers sufficiently sever impact, it can go up in flames—as plenty of previous Tesla incidents have illustrated.
Tesla could just setup their own forum package and walk away from Twitter. The advantage is 'sensitive' accounts could tag a 24x7 moderator team. Membership, free (or at least reasonable.)
Remember the Tesla Model X that burtn to crisp on a frozen lake?
...No one was hurt.

There is a process question, having someone 'edit' Elon's communications. Twitter apparently has no automation tools to allow that to happen. As for the content of his postings, the irony is the photo of the Teslas loading onto a cargo ship was important to me. That his text about '500,000' or corrected to '400,000' seems trivial to me. But we've talked about how SHORTs have no such limits.I don't see how that would help at all. The problem is Elon's lack of ability to filter his own remarks, not the platform that he uses for making social media comments. I don't think the SEC is going to care about the difference between Twitter and a semi-private forum set up by Tesla, . . .
