I'll keep my eye out. Once I buy a house and can charge at home I've been thinking that a full electric in addition to my Clarity would be nice. A 150+ mile range battery would be about perfect. I live in a high price real estate market (Central Maryland- DC area). In order to be able to afford to buy a house as a single teacher, I've been thinking about buying a bit further out (1-1.5 hour commute each way). Some of the further areas I'm looking at would be about 60 miles or so. 186 miles would give a nice margin for error when the weather is nice enough to get the full range, and might be enough for the round trip even in the winter (it might need a 20-30min stop at a level 2 charger on the coldest days). With that, even with the move, I could commute on all electric to and from work, and use my Clarity for local trips where I'd be well within the 45-55 miles of range I usually get and for long trips where I'd really need the gas option. If it really comes to the U.S. at under $20K it would be a good option (even if the tax rebate is gone), and with the rebate would beat out many used cars that would be on my list (if I make the move and drive 100-120 miles every work day just for my commute alone, I'd be in the market for a 2nd car so I can split the miles and keep my cars longer/so not to put 30K+ on one car every year, so I'd be looking anyway and a 186 mile new electric would definitely look good v. a late model used Corolla or Elantra).
