I have owned the Gen 2 for 2 months and the car has 500 miles.
Background:
I have owned the Gen 1 Volt since 2012. I also have the Clarity electric and put my name of the waiting list for Kona EV and Niro EV.
Back story:
I leased the Gen 2 Volt for my brother, who give his Sonata to my mom.
Currently:
After 350 miles, I brother returned the volt to me, got back his Sonata and my mom is driving the old Camry. My brother felt the Volt was dangerous because of the lack of visibility. Mom said the same thing.
After driving the car for 150 miles, the Gen 2 Volt is the worst car I've ever owned. I'm hoping to put the car up on swap leased (GM financial required 6 month ownership).
Base Volt LT, black.
2.5 years, 29,500 miles allowance.
I did the one pay for $7401.

- Visibility is non existent.
- The Air Condition doesn't work at temperatures above 100 degree. ( Will take it to dealership)
- The car is very inefficient compare to the Clarity and Gen 1 Volt.
- It takes too long to charge.
- The seating position is uncomfortable.
- The rearview mirror has limited mobility (have to duck down see anything)
- Can't see the car behind me.
- The A pillar is too thick.
- Blindspot visibility is non existent.
- Backseat is still a joke.
