Underestimated the energy consumed when trying to keep from gettin run over in hardcore commuter traffic where there were limited chances of pulling over. Then, I tried to push it to the limit for a last minute takeout food run. Ran out 50 feet from my charger. 'Crapped pants (figuratively), then came back out to the MINI, and it "recovered" enough to get me back on the juice. Highly stressful- hope there are no long term consequences.

Thank you for performing an experiment that most don't have the stomach for! One time only, there should be no long term consequences, especially since you were able to recharge right away.

Out of curiosity, how far were you able to travel after you hit 0%? IIRC, some (British?) media outlet was able to squeeze out several kilometers after that point.

(The lowest I have run mine down to was 1%, a little over a mile from home. I wasn't especially worried, though, since worst case scenario it would have just meant parking it then having it hauled the rest of the way. Inconvenient, yes, but hardly the end of the world.)

I'm fairly sure it was ~ .8-> 1 mile driven showing 0%, level ground, 30+ mph.
Is there any way to disengage the motor (tow switch) to allow the car to be pushed back into a garage?

Thanks, and yes, I *think* that there might be, but I don't recall the details.

ETA: Instructions from owner's manual attached.
