Good car for a teenager?

Touring. Totally paid off. Our oldest is about to start driving.

I think this is a good option, teaches gas operation and EV operation. I’m a little worried at how long the nose of the car is however.

Anyone tried this as a teenager’s first car?

My second child learned to drive in our first Clarity, and it worked well for that purpose. After a year of experience, I taught him to drive a manual transmission car (2000 Nissan Altima) and that became his daily driver. The second Clarity we bought is now the daily driver for my oldest child who has had a few minor accidents: clipped a school bus (left front bumper piece damaged) and hit a fox that darted into the road (front grill damage). No harm to my child in each instance. I was able to replace the damaged parts myself, and the cost for parts was quite low (approximately $300 each). IMHO, these are good, safe cars for young drivers.

Find a used Prius. Would be much much better in terms of reliability.
