There's a definite maybe (how it that for committing) that we could be moving to Canada. I am curious about the public charging network, availability and reliability.
More than likely we would be locating in the Eastern Provinces. Just trying to get an idea
if your network is better than where I live.

We are in Vermont and have been very impressed by the Circuit Electrique in Quebec on a few trips up there.

I am living in Toronto and charge my car 90% at home. Public charging is pretty good in downtown Toronto and in the suburbs. But I would not say great. From my research on public charging, Quebec is the best and not expensive, as their electric power is mostly generated by hydro power. I drove there before but in an ICE car. Quebec is a beautiful province.

Thanks for the replies. I had previously seen that Quebec had a great charging network, nice to have that validated. I agree
Quebec is a beautiful province. Unfortunately my Canadian wife, the one pushing for the move, does not
speak French, and I can barely speak English:). I do practically all my charging, L1 at home. Branching a little further out would be
nice, but living on the NC/SC border, public charging is totally unreliable, and probably getting worse. The search has just begun.

Most larger metros have decent charging options, and pretty much anywhere along a major freeway (400-series in Ontario, "Autoroute" in Quebec) has DC fast charging every 30-50 miles or so.

There is no worries about English or French. I don’t speak French, but for those times that I was there I felt completely comfortable. I stayed in BnB as well as motels. Dine anywhere I like. Sooner or later your better half will learn some French that will be enough to go by. Just my two cents.

Actually, we’re old. My wife had some the last year or two in school under what I believe was the Languages Act. She was also able to pick up some when in the military. But that was when the dinosaurs were still roaming the earth. We have, just like you, gotten by in the larger cities. I’m not sure about branching away
If indeed you have that charging capability, I would look into longer journeys. We really like the car,I just can’t trust the network here
