With the Aceman no longer on its way and Volvo's broken EX30 price promises, I'll be nudging SWMBO to consider the Kia EV3 as our ultra-reliable, low-mileage 2018 Crosstrek gets on in years. I'll also weigh the Rivian R3(X) if they can weather any further uncertainties and become a viable T alternative.Very sad BMW/Mini is not going to bring the Aceman to the US. The size, premium price and availability of the new Countryman SE make it a no option for me. The dealer keeps prompting me to replace my current 2015 Countryman with the new Countryman. Although my Countryman has been incredibly unreliable it is paid for I will soldier on with it along with my SE
Yeah right until Elon decide to be a NaziWere you until very recently still considering the MYLR?

I was so annoyed by this that I even wrote to their customer to explain why I was cancelling. (Not that it will do much good, but I wanted someone to know.)I was all in in Rivian until I discovered they did not support and had no plans to support CarPlay. I canceled my reservation.
Where they selling them what part of the world they are so popular? The sad thing is that they assembled twice as many J01 & J05 in China than the entire North America MINI sales (all ICE+BEV models) for 2024.
China still buys a **** loadWhere they selling them what part of the world they are so popular?
Yes you can go to Page 62 of the 432 PDF report to find 67,561 vehicles produced in Zhangjiagang.China still buys a **** load

Compare that to the 26,299 deliveries in 2024 for North America (all MINI powertrains).

So at the current rate, total sales of the J01 (and Aceman) will eclipse those of the F56-based SE in, what, under 2 years? That, despite not even being sold everywhere.
Despite all the upheaval, perhaps Spotlight is proving to be a boon for BMW/MINI after all.
I had the same thought. Time will tell, I guess.Tariff carve out for British-marque automobiles was just announced... what are the chances BMW walks back their last guidance on Oxford-made Cooper Electrics? I mean, I hope the next one is UKL- or Neue-Klasse-based, not the Happydong Motors J01, but any subcompact EV will be better than none.

With the EPA in the process of being gutted, perhaps the emissions problems manual transmissions cause may be moot.(I'd rather see MINI bring a manual transmission for ICE MINIs to the Oxford plant.)
Manual transmission cause less waste and pollution versus automatic and car have better gas mileage too and weight less .With the EPA in the process of being gutted, perhaps the emissions problems manual transmissions cause may be moot.
