I hope this applies to Canada as well, I tried logging into the Canadian portal but I never registered on my 21 MY so no luck logging in. Perhaps other Canadian owners can try and provide feedback. I will also inquire when I pick up my 25 Kona EV which is due to arrive in early January. Free was better than what I was expecting:)
"FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 23, 2024 – Starting in the first quarter of 2025, current and new Hyundai EV owners who have purchased or leased their vehicle on or before January 31, 2025 will be able to request a free NACS adapter (shipping included) through the MyHyundai owner portal. This Hyundai-authorized adapter will give CCS-port-equipped Hyundai EV drivers access to more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers[ii] in the United States. Free adapters will be available to eligible owners of the following models:

 
The press release quoted a Hyundai North America executive so it sounds like it might include Canada. Fingers crossed here.
 
I would like to add this important note for those with more than one EV and are thinking of using the free adapter for another make.
Thanks to Tom's video (below) released Christmas Eve, showing the rating on the Kia free adaptor that will be available made by Kyungshin in Korea as being 350 amp/1000 volt, not 500 amp like the Ford, Lectron Vortex and AZ Typhoon which are rated @ 500A/1000V.
Of course the Kona EV is only capable of 100kW (~ 250 amp @ 400 VDC) so it will not be an issue, however other makes are quite capable of 350 A and above, so overheating and sensor cutout may become a reality.
No details/specs have been provided on the Hyundai version, but I don't think it will be different, so an important note to consider if the above situation is applicable.;)
 
It's very hard for me to believe that the adapters they will be providing current owners will have built in weaknesses and flaws. That would be them shooting themselves in the foot before they even begin. Lets hope they do more homework than that. I have the 2025 Kona Limited EV so hoping it won't be an issue.
 
@electriceddy, thanks for posting Tom's latest video.

@dcisive, there should be no problem with your 2025 Kona using the Hyundai adapter as your car can draw ~100kW (our older ones are ~77kW). As @electriceddy and Tom's video pointed out, the problem comes in if someone tries using that adapter on vehicles which draw more current.

For myself, I already own a Lectron Vortex adapter and can't wait for January 15...

Nothing yet, I would hope to expect something soon though as it was announced originally Q1 2025. Of course availability of the adapters would have to precede the access of Supercharging on the Tesla app if Hyundai expects us to be using their NACS/CCS1 "approved" ones.

I spoke with Hyundai Customer Support the other day. All she could say is it's expected in the 1st Quarter of 2025. She said to just keep looking on the Hyundai site to monitor the progress. They themselves she said don't have that information. I'm wondering if they even know about me having just purchased a Limited Kona EV 3 weeks ago. I'd love to assume they have records of purchasers of such vehicles and will simply mail out the adapter as they roll out. But that's quite an assumption on my part.
 
Did a little more research on the FAQs | Hyundai Canada | Hyundai Canada website and found this in FAQ:
When will the program be available in Canada?
We are currently working on integrating our Hyundai app with the Tesla charging network to ensure a seamless user experience for our Hyundai EV customers. The updated app will be available by the second half of 2025. We will share more details soon.

Will existing customers in Canada receive the NACS adapter for free?
North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapters will be available to Hyundai EV customers during the second half of 2025 in combination with the revamped Hyundai App. We haven’t finalized the details yet, but as always, we aim to provide Canadian customers with a convenient process and valuable product offering and we will share details directly with Canadian owners as soon as possible.

I did enable Bluelink on my new Kona but only downloaded the app to my laptop, not my phone ...yet, will soon do that.
If this is the " Hyundai App" that is being referred to (as I am not familiar with another applicable one in Canada other than this one):
Login | EDD, than I would assume Bluelink app will have to be updated when they change the software.
No mention of "free adapter" just "valuable product offering" and the timeline has obviously changed to "by the second half of 2025" which if using calendar year would equate to June 30th 2025:rolleyes:

Good job unearthing this info. Thanks! Yes, they are definitely avoiding the word "free". The adapter is definitely going to cost in Canada. :(
