Keyless Access System Failure

Hello everyone,

About 2 months ago someone took off my front bumper at the Airport. The bumper was replaced (10k if your interested) but now I am getting the "Keyless Access System Failure." The vehicle still starts and runs...but it gives those loud beeps every time I open or close the doors. I took it back to the body shop and they told me I have to replace the battery in my fob. Did that....no success. I have tried everything the internet suggests to no avail.
Has anyone else had this issue? How did you resolve it?

Sounds like a clarity being a clarity. Probably some random control module failed, dunno what one, probably immobilizer or something.
 
Have you tried disconnecting/connecting the 12V battery? Seems to be a sort of universal remedy for many weird Clarity maladies...
 
I haven't tried that. I am going to try that and then if that doesn't work replace the 12V battery. I've had it about 6 years now. It's probably time.

Tried it.....to no avail.
I'm guessing somebody messed up one of the antenna's that are close to that front bumper when they replaced the bumper. I saw a picture once, I think even on this forum, of where those antenna's are but I can't seem to find it again.
Does anybody know where the antenna for the Keyless Access System are?
 
I think you are right. I saw a video today of someone fixing them on a civic. Hopefully it's the same for the Clarity because I'm taking the doors apart tomorrow.
