FOB got wet

I did a bad thing. Forgot to remove the FOB from my pants after throwing them into the laundry. My wife heard a clanking in the dryer, and when she checked, she found the FOB in the pocket, still very wet.

I took it to the car, and noticed the proximity portion still worked and allowed me to turn on the car. But the buttons, like the lock and unlock, did not. So I took it apart, blew out the moisture, which was still very noticeable on the parts, and placed everything over a heat register in the house. I put it together the next day, and everything worked again.

Phew.., escaped a bullet. I don't think a new FOB would be very cheap.

On the bright side, you now probably own the cleanest FOB in use today, although next time maybe use the dry cleaners instead:D
