Hi,

Anyone had experience buying a replacement key fob for their Mini? Dealership price for key, cut, and program?

I might buy a blank on Amazon and go to a locksmith for a cut and program. I saw this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFB1G95...GG9IFPPH&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it

The description of the years don't line up, but the
FCC ID: NBGIDGNG1, Frequency: 434 MHz, IC: 2694A-IDGNG1
is the same except my key has an "M" at the end for the FCC ID and IC??

I wonder if it's compatible.

Thanks!

I wanted a third one, which I purchased from the dealer for $415. I didn’t have to go to the dealer, they shipped it to me.

Good to know on the price..Do you know what dealer I can order from? I am also from the Bay Area too.
I actually purchased from Nick Alexander Mini in Los Angeles (during peak covid times when they were hard to find) and drove it up, so I ordered the key from them. If you wanted to try that my guy is "Austin.GrantDixon" followed by "@drive.nickalexanderimports.com".

Cool, thanks!

Dealers order blade and fob directly from Munich. They come programmed and its DIY to setup. Locally here Fob+ Blade is roughly same price as jobber

Jobber fobs are hit or miss.

I just wander why you need 3 rd one just curious bc my second one sits in a drawer to a point I sell a car as I drive my cars myself not even my wife drive SE as she drive big cars not as SE to small for my wife of 52 years together but she hates sitting next to me as I drive as a race car driver exposing EV’s performance.

My partner and I each have a key. I share a garage with two other neighbors, and my parking space limits access to utilities like gas and water. So I have a third key in a lock box accessible to the neighbors in case of emergency.

I had to really disassemble the key to fit in there… the new SE’s would never work.
