As I’m keeping my SE forever is good to prevent dashboard from cracking specifically in hot climates bc that plastic will crack is only $25 investment on Amazon to bad is not American flag which I replace soon for right size IMG_1530.webp

It looks like a good idea. The one that accommodates head-up display isn’t available at the listing for this on Amazon. In the Q&A the seller says that version has to come out of China and costs $38, but I can’t find a listing for it.

I've had MINIs in a hot desert climate for quite awhile now and never had a problem with the dash cracking, though I do use a sun shade religiously.

That dashboard on 18 yr. Mini crack not from hot but from cold weather as guy described. SE is 2 1/2 years old and I see what happens 15 1/2 years later I put dashboard protection only bc looks goodIMG_1533.webp

New York is not that hot as many states in a country I’m using windshield protection too which I build myself for few $$$ from double bubbles reflecting aluminum shield.IMG_1534.webp

Artistic Reflection in Colorado makes some awesome sun shades specifically for Minis.
