While I'm waiting for my 2025 Countryman SE to move past the "your MINI has entered the production queue" stage, I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to this, I would think simple, question: What charging connector are we getting in the N. America Countryman, CCS or NACS?

BMW promised NACS (along with Tesla supercharger access) "starting in 2025", but is the 2025 product year considered "in 2025" or not?

My dealer doesn't know. The manual for the car can't be downloaded yet.

I guess I'll find out soon enough, but I was hoping someone here might already know.

Would MINI again omit a port-light to make night-time plugging-in easier?

Thanks! I'd seen several pictures and videos of the new Countryman EV being plugged in, but it was always the European version. I'd yet to find an image or reference to the port on the N. American variant.

I suppose it doesn't really make much difference as we'll all be living in a mixed CCS/NACS world for the foreseeable future. Here's hoping MINI follows the trend of Ford and others by providing free adaptors.
 
North American (at least US) model years are actually built the prior year, so I wouldn't think a "2025" Countryman wouldn't be considering "in" 2025. I'd assume yours will come with CCS1 as pictured.

On a related note, Ford said my F-150 Lightning CCS1 to J3400 (NACS) adapter was going to be shipped in July and no sign of it yet, so maybe it's a slow rollout for everyone.

My MINI is also scheduled for production. (It had been sitting at 'order received' for a couple of weeks.) Just in time: I've rejoined the rat race full time. The company that I work for moved its data centre from the plaintiff friendly Eastern Judicial district of Texas to Dallas county. (After complaints about increased commuter time, a non-local executive said "suck it up; sacrifices must be made for the good of the company." My peers in rural Texas last year said that my company owed patent trolls $500M.) It'll be nice to have a second EV on hand that can be charging at home while I'm slogging it through 60 minute commutes. (For the first time ever, my Cooper SE GOM predicted 114 miles of range, rather than its usual 100 miles.)
 
This morning I hit step 12: “Dispatched from factory.” I called Ask MINI to see if they could give me the name of the boat it’ll be on and was told they won’t know that until it’s actually loaded on the freighter. I was also told it could sit for a couple of weeks before that happens.

I haven't trotted out this silly graphic and silly advice since my 2021 MINI Cooper SE finally arrived:

While waiting for your MINI, time slows down for you despite the hectic pace of the world around you. There's almost nothing else that can produce that effect. So enjoy this unique period of slow-time.
 
My Mini Countryman SE ALL4 was built at the end of July and still shows "At Port." I'm unsure if this is true or if it's actually on a ship, but I don't expect the vehicle to arrive at my dealer until late September or early October.

Unless MINI has changed things, it will show "at port" while waiting to get loaded on a ship, and then go back to "at port" once it's unloaded and waiting for final delivery by a carrier.
