My wife has glommed onto the Kona and I rarely drive it and have yet to get acquainted with all its peculiarities; thus, a dumb question: this is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen and I don't know what the symbol with the slash mark means nor where to find an explanation of it in the manual.

I know nothing about Hyundai infotainment systems, but I discovered the icon is an older icon for Hyundai Bluelink. That icon combined with the red circle-slash icon would suggest Bluelink in your wife's Kona is not working.

@insightman, thank you very much for that. Yes, nice to know that is the Bluelink symbol. I have not enabled Bluelink, having bought our Kona used.

Incidentally, if your handle refers to the Honda Insight, we had two of them for over a dozen years and which were our primary long-distance drivers before we bought the Tesla. The 2002 had a lifetime 77.7mpg over 95K miles until it was totaled when a seriously-speeding drunk driver ran into the back of me on Interstate 5 by Bakersfield.

Yeah, that means Bluelink has not been authorized for your vehicle.

Yep, I had Insight #221, the first one in the midwest. My archival (ie. I no longer update it) website, insightman.com, has been around since 1999, I started it after I saw the Honda VV prototype at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. I drove old #221 until 2006, then bought the last 1st-gen Insight I could order and drove that until 2019. Thanks to cold Michigan winters, I couldn't keep my Insights' lifetime MPG above 70.

I proudly display that glorious symbol after a hung command just about killed my 12V battery in my 2019 MY.
Trust me, you (or her) won't be missing much :D
