I didn’t want to stop and charge so I went in Green+ and got 6.5mi/kwh.
While I understand there's a difference between official rating and anecdotal efficiency, it pains me to see articles like the one linked below. The SE never got the praise it deserved for how efficient it is, and the fact that it was one of the first (maybe few) models of EV that came standard with a heat pump.

Lucid confirms the 2025 Air Pure offers 5 miles per kWh, making it the most efficient car in the world

I get well over 5 mi/kWh in the summer with my SE, driving mostly freeway.

You like it or not all estimate range is fake show me a picture on your SE on your dashboard like a picture I’m putting here those 2 numbers with arrows than I believe you drive 180 miles a dashboard is bulletproof proof to show your driving distance IMG_1522.webp

My 2014 BMW I 3 was equipped with heat pump nothing new as SE get the same 7 years later from bmw I 3 was in EU in 2013

The GOM is hideously inaccurate, however the usage data seems good. I calculate the battery used from the percent (ok, that could also be dodgy), and it is pretty much spot on with the consumption figure in the dash. My average over almost 4 years is 12.5kWh/100km (4.972 mi/kWh - ok, basically 5). This is exclusively in sport mode and for the last 6 months, I have been running track tyres. The average is going up, it used to be 12.4 :) My GOM rarely indicates more than 160km (100 miles), but I can recharge with 30-40% left after doing this. If I drive like a grandma, I can get 270km (167 miles) to a charge. Ok, I only did this once to see what I could get. I actually charged at 270.1km . I have never repeated this as it was soooo boring. WLTP is trivial to achieve (233km) and can be done all year round - I live it a warm climate so no winter worries. In fact winter is slightly better for range due to not needing the aircon as the outside is about 20C.

Not too bad *averaging* 5mi/kWh and driving it like you stole it.

Exactly! And did anyone ever write articles about how efficient the SE was? No, just articles about the short range. Oh well, we owners know how great the car is and it's not being made anymore so no need to convert others.
