Does anyone seen this error message?
"High voltage system: You can continue driving. Have the system checked by your service center to prevent subsequent damage". Don't know how bad it can be.

I got this right after I finished a DCFC charge at a gas station. I only used DCFC a couple of times over the last few years. Never had this message. I usually charge at home using L1, and a few times L2 at some shopping plaza.

Thanks for the help.

I've had that three times from three different DCFCs. You need Mini to reset it if it doesn't go away on its own. They don't know why mine does it. When you get errors, try to take a photo before it disappears, and get the current mileage.

Thank you so much. I will have it checked ASAP.

Booked an appointment with the dealer. Bought the car in on Monday and it took the dealer like two hours to start working on my car. Waited another four hours and keep checking with the frequent MIA service advisor for status without any concrete news. Finally, the dealer decided that they have to keep my car for more inspection.

No news on Tuesday. Early this morning I spent about two hours trying to get hold of the service advisor. Now the news is that the problem is with the charging socket, and it has to be replaced. Not sure how much that will be. Needless to say they do not have the part and have to order from somewhere. I have to wait for a few more days before getting my car back. Luckily, there is no problem with the battery.

According to the service advisor, my car is being serviced by the technician at BMW next door, same owner. It seems to me that there are not many technician in this EV field.

Got the car back today. The dealer changed the "Drive Unit Power Socket Lock". Reason being the car was not reading the lock status correctly. Luckily the car is still under warranty. The part alone cost about $200. I don't know how they will charge for the labour.

So, one error message for the whole high voltage system caused the dealer to spend about two days to figure out what the problem was, seems absurd. I thought the on-board computer could easily say: "system cannot read power socket lock status correctly". That sure will save a lot of time and money. Or may be they really don't know why, as mentioned by @pictsidhe. My dealer had to change some parts just to send me away.
