2024 Kona EV SEL: settings questions

I recently picked up a 2024 Kona EV SEL and had a few settings-related questions:
  • Is there a way to tie each of the two keys to a specific user profile on the car?
  • Does the car save driver seat and side mirror positions for each user profile? I saw this in the manual but perhaps it is a luxury reserved for the Limited/ultimate trim?
  • The app notification when the vehicle is left unlocked is nice, but can I set the vehicle to automatically lock if a key is not detected nearby?
  • Why (oh why) does the regen level always default back down to Level 3 from Level 4/iPedal every time I switch from drive to reverse and back? The manual acknowledges that it is set up this way, i.e. it is intentional. Is there a benefit to this that I'm missing? Or a setting somewhere that can override this and keep it permanently at the max regen level until I manually touch the paddles?

  1. No, but if your car has a wireless charging pad and Digital Key 2 support, you can associate Digital Keys with each driver profile.
  2. If you have Memory Seat buttons, then yes, each memory seat position can be saved to a driver profile.
  3. I do not believe the car can be set to lock automatically.
  4. There is no way to make iPedal the default. Who knows why Hyundai made it this way.

Thank you! Not the answers I wanted to see but appreciate you confirming some of these things. I think 1. and 2. are reserved for the Limited trim - pretty sure I don't have a wireless charging pad and memory seat buttons on my SEL.
