Any issues with tire dealers damaging/breaking plastic wheel covers?

I don’t know how unusual the plastic wheel covers on the Clarity are, but has anyone had an issue with a tire dealer damaging or breaking them when swapping out tires? I’m considering removing them myself (carefully) before I go in for my next tire change due in a couple of months. Just in case.

The tire jockeys are more likely to break the wheel resonators because the resonators are inside the tire and aren't something they normally encounter.

Yes. They don’t notice the covers need to be put on in a specific orientation and covered up the valve stem. I live an hour from the nearest tire place, so I had to put the car up on a jack and take all the tires off one at a time, pull off the covers, put them back on correctly. AND because the Clarity has no spare tire, there’s no tire iron. Had to use a ratchet set. It was a PITA.

Make sure you check before you leave the tire shop.
