Just noticed the windshield is cracked in my 2023 Mini SE. it’s under warranty but does anybody know if all 2 door Cooper models have the same windshield?

Warranty will not cover a cracked windshield, that would be through insurance. I've had to have mine replaced twice already due to cracks caused by flying debris on the freeway.

Either way, just let the installer know the exact model and year of your vehicle. They will most likely ask if you have the "auto rain sensing" option.

I believe the SE also needs the camera calibration when the windshield is replaced. I also personally would recommend OEM glass, since MINIs I've had that had third-party replacements get pockmarked relatively quickly.

Yes, that too. The camera for the safety features (anti-collision, lane departure, etc).

I too would recommend OEM glass if you go through insurance. It ain't cheap though, expect the bill to be $1800 to $2000 at the dealership but hopefully your deductible is significantly less than that. Non-oem installers were running anywhere between $500 and $700 plus you'll need to go to the dealership for the calibration afterwards.

Safelite can do the calibration, so it's not just the dealer.

I had one replaced with OEM and one where I didn't specify (Fuyao) and they both seem fine.
