Tesla Supercharger Adapter

Unfortunately there is no way to charge at a North American supercharger with your MINI unless you are in Europe with CCS2. It also seems kind of unfair that Tesla drivers would rather use the 50kW free DCFC stations than pay for supercharging.

AFAIK, there is no car other than a Tesla that can use a US Supercharger--the car plugged in has to supply an ID to bill the charge against a Tesla account (or to verify it's an old Tesla that doesn't have to pay for charging). Aptera may be the first non-Tesla to plug into a Supercharger, but, as with last year, there will be no Apteras delivered this year.
 
Tesla currently restricts their US superchargers to Teslas. A dumb adaptor won't work. It would be possible, but not easy, and possibly not legal, to spoof a Tesla.
Where Tesla does share it's superchargers, it has the correct cable to just plug in.
Musk keeps saying he will open up superchargers to other brands at some point. Probably when they don't have queues of Teslas. The nearest supercharger to me is way underused, unlike many in California. So it may be done by state.
 
If you can find one! There are DC chargers connected to Royal Farms but they are not working because of some conflict between RF and the charging equipment supplier.

Those can’t come soon enough. I’ve travelled through Delaware for years in my Bolt relying on these RoFo chargers. Without them I have to take the long way around, past DC. Not pleasant.

Well, now you can charge non-tesla with Tesla chargers in the USA. I've extracted some Tesla chargers with CSS in the USA from Plugshare. You can also have a look: https://www.plugshare.com/map/tesla-ccs-locations

The number of these charging stations is very less, but if you've got 1-2 in your daily route, then it's great!

I’m in Germany and having pretty much one common charger port is easier. Lots of non Tesla charging at the superchargers that are open. Only issue are the current superchargers are setup really for Teslas only. Basically if you don’t use the stalls at the end you will block a spot.
IONITY setup is pretty universal

Pretty standard Tesla setup. This area had like 32 stalls, half were open to non Tesla. Also interesting was the Fastned setup!
