Errors Forward Safety System, DAW, Lane Assist, High Beams

Hi All,

I'm wondering if someone can help me please? I have a Hyundai Kona Electric 2021. Hyundai are refusing to see me for 1 month to even look at the car due to how busy they're.

My car developed this brand new fault on Saturday where it's erroring 6 things, 1. Check Forward Safety System 2. Check Driver Awareness System (DAW), Speed Sign Camera (or close to this), check lane assist and one or two others. All of these are done via the HUD unit at the top, and the radar at the bottom below the license plate...

Hyundai are being useless and won't do anything for me, are telling me the car isn't safe to drive as it isn't functionating right and won't do anything to help until next month.

I have done countless hours of research to see if I can work out what the problem is, but as I'm not a car mechanic I haven't got really far. Everyone I have spoken to (people who I have the car from, the manufacture etc etc.) have ran dead ends and can't do anything to speed the process up.

Does anyone have any advice or help, or know what my solution is. I can't have these errors for the next 4 weeks, especially when I have little ones and my car is now a hazard.

Check front end for any damage (radar unit), check front camera clear (no rock chip etc on windscreen), disconnect 12V battery and measure (should be at least 12.6 V), reconnect battery if voltage is good after 5 minutes and re-start car.
Note: if 12V battery voltage is low- recharge it using utility mode- should be ~14.8 V for a couple of hours.

Hey thank you so much for the response. How would you measure the voltage of the battery easily?

Also, no damage to car at all, have checked front camera too.
 
I will just chime in here and point out my experience. I had an accelerator pedal module fail and all sorts of warnings lit up the dash none of them really having to do with a faulty accelerator. I guess my point is that your fault may not (necessarily) draw a straight line between the displayed warnings and the actual cause. Having the fault code(s) read will be a more certain indicator. And it's just my opinion but just because some of the automated safety systems aren't working doesn't mean you need to park the car for a month it just means you need to drive (maybe) more watchfully until it's fixed.

Thank you for the advice above, I'm more upset that Hyundai are taking a month to even look at the issue. Disappointing to be honest.

I'll keep driving it - as I need to drive, essentially feels like I'm driving a old car again, but 95% of drivers do the same, so in some degree I can't moan as such. Just frustrating. Hope someone had a simple answer to be honest but doesn't look to be one.
