GM vs EV-recalcitrant Buick Dealers

This MSN article says GM is offering to buy out U.S. Buick dealers that don't want to make investments in the brand's transition to exclusively offer all-electric vehicles domestically by 2030.

I wonder if GM will then sell these dealerships to EV-savvy operators or fold them into existing Chevy/Cadillac dealerships? Will single-brand dealerships still be a thing in 2030?

Buick is a luxury brand in China and probably over 80% of the vehicles are sold in China anyways.
