Brooklands? Same boat mine was on... The race its on, LOL. What dealer did you buy from? Mine's going to Mini of Alexandria.
Mine's still... at the port...

Pretty sure the holiday just ramped up the time it'd take. Last Friday the MA at the dealer said probably ready for pickup Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. I'm just gonna hope for... this week, LOL.

Same here. Dealer thought yesterday. still shows at the port.

It will be interesting to see how long a 2024 SE takes from order to delivery--especially because many SEs will be traveling the other direction through the Panama Canal.

Right but would it be backwards of the way it is now? Us west coasters will not need to go through the Panama Canal but the east coaster now will.

Weekly text to my salesdweeb provided the same Rex screen as three weeks ago (before Morning Caroline), two weeks ago (before Carmen and Elektra) and last week. “193 — In Transit” (which is really “at the port” AFAIK; Southampton or Halifax? Who’s to say). Could I have missed it getting on a ship? Hard to believe, as I text for updates every Wednesday. Treasure departs Southampton for Halifax in a few hours, maybe it’s been (or being) loaded? I’ll text for an update on Monday.

I think that depends. Most of the remaining Japanese-made vehicles to Canada are definitely FOB Vancouver.

My status just changed to In Transit again, so my SE should be on a truck from the port in Georgia to the dealer in Florida. I haven't heard anything from my motoring advisor yet, but I'm hopeful that I'll be able to pick the car up this weekend.
Ugh. Car is at the dealer, but my MA just emailed me that the "service department will not be able to complete the pre delivery inspection until the middle of next week due to the current workload." Due to previous commitments, I'm not sure I'll be able to make the 400-mile round trip the following weekend, so it might be a couple of weeks before I can pick it up.

This. Car. Is. FUN.

Been a few years since I had a Mini in the family, so I forgot the whole feeling every bump in the road thing. But holy $***. What a joy. And kudos to Mini & BMW, yet again. The best in business. Can’t wait to see future EVs they cook up.

What a joy to drive, especially knowing $0.00 went to E-fraud Musk. Hope you all get yours soon enough.

Edit: Ordered end of Jan. Deposit early Feb. Delivery first week July.

I wonder if they were built together when they were in Oxford. Mine was built in mid-May and I got it on July 1st.

As for fun, I had both my 2019 Mini Cooper S and the SE together for one day before I sold the 2019 to a local dealer. My son and I went on one last drive in the 2019, I taught him how to drive a manual and he is younger than legal driving age. We go to a large desolate business park on weekends and I let him drive around.

The 2019 Cooper S was fun and I was getting seller's remorse because I had planned to sell it right when the SE arrived. When the SE did arrive, my son's first thought was it is not as fun as the stick shift but it is fun in a different way. Power is surprisingly good since the torque is instant and there is no downshifting, upshifting or time lost in gear changes. Driving past gas stations is the best and it is zippy enough to be a daily driver and fun car.

I'll probably eventually get another manual transmission car in addition to but the SE is staying around for a long time. I also like the fact this is the last Mini electric from Oxford. I'm sure the new car from China will better, faster and have longer range but I will let them work the bugs out before considering replacing my 2023 SE.

I expect the 2nd-gen Chinese SE (H56?) will be a dynamite car, but I doubt either the G or H will have the charm of the British SEs we love. Don't ask me to define automotive charm--I just know it when I drive it.

Dang so close yet so far. Not long now. Where are you picking it up from. I've got a similar journey in TX

Update: my Mini is on the Wagon Train from Halifax heading towards the Rockies and should be at the dealership in 2 weeks. We will see what changed or is missing from the original order!

Awesome. I’m still waiting to hear if mine has made it onto a train yet. Fingers crossed it’s on the same train bound for Western Canada. Mine should have arrived in Halifax on June 28 based on the date it shipped.

I think our Mini’s were on the same ship, I was told just after you!

Picking it up in Pensacola. I'm in New Orleans. That's the closest MINI dealer to me, since the dealership in Baton Rouge stopped selling MINIs a few years ago.
