Aww I just got my production number last week and today my garage is showing that production begins with VIN! Stupid question… what does the prodDate field mean? Is it the production start date or is it the end date? I am confused [emoji29]View attachment 16156

Order placed: 18 March
Production number sent to me: 25 March
MA being cagey, no new info (no response to my request for an update), so I called MINI Canada just now: no VIN, no info.
Grrrr.
The prodDate field is the date of completion. Mine was 4/19 and my car was finished yesterday, 4/19. It's now sitting at the Southhampton port.Aww I just got my production number last week and today my garage is showing that production begins with VIN! im not getting the black background. I am getting a white background that wont let me do anything. While logged into Mini My Garage (in Chrome browser on your desktop) - Press F12 to open Developer Options. A window will appear on the right of your page.

From there click on the "Network" tab at the top of the Developer Options tab and then Select "Fetch/XHR" tab just below that.
Now click on "My Vehicles" in the My Garage page (or refresh the page if you're already on "My Vehicles"), and you'll see some entries populate on the developer options side:

You can then click on the (usually first entry) "forward?group..." line and drill down into it to see estimated Production Date. This should be the estimated actual completion date for production. This is/was my experience using this info on the BMW side, and it looks identical on the Mini side so I don't see why not. I may give Ask Mini a call to confirm they see the same date as the actual production date estimate.

Just got my production number! Cannot see a production date using the super-secret but will be obsessively checking daily now! I am also seeing the alarm system credit and the heated steering wheel credit but was expecting that. The one thing in my initial build sheet and the latest my MA sent me is the "4AA Headliner in Anthracite" is not on the newest one. I am hoping that is just due to that being the default now.
Cool. I'll be getting back to DC from Central America on the 9th of June, probably just about the time it'll come in.Sounds about right. The biggest variation is how long you wait at the UK port. Mine finished production right around the first of this month and is now at the Baltimore port having rolled off the Olympian Highway yesterday. Based on the data in the spreadsheet I expect I will be driving it home from Alexandria in a week or so. So almost exactly a month for me.
If you’re in the US you can call MINI USA and they will give you the build week. Mine is scheduled for the week of May 9th and it updated from “scheduled for production” to “production begins” on Tues 4/19.
It's so simple to press the button on the door handle to lock/unlock that I don't miss the acoustic confirmation at all. I've used the fob to lock only a few times and never to unlock.I supposed since the car is now keyless I would be locking it by taping the door handle which would mean I would be touching/looking at the car when it locks I may be good with the visual flash instead.
Anyway, still excited for my SE!
Good to know. This should mitigate the loss of the alarm for me. I would love it if they at least pre-wired the car though so it could be retrofitted easier in the future but I doubt that. It's so simple to press the button on the door handle to lock/unlock that I don't miss the acoustic confirmation at all. These were the only option for the Power Spoke wheels on the 2023 configurator. I also like the yellow stripe to add a "pop" with the other yellow accents. I was/am on the fence about the yellow mirror caps to be honest. The mirrors are so big the yellow is quite "loud" on them. With the white roof the caps match up nicely. I may grab a set of yellow caps in the future though and swap them on to see.The image of your Island Blue SE looks gorgeous! For the 2022 model year, the only way to get Island Blue was to select the Electric Collection package and the Electric Collection Power Spoke rims didn't include an Energetic Yellow stripe around the circumference like the ones for the Iconic SE. Does MINI offer those stripless rims as an option in 2023 or were they a single-year/single-package thing?
I really like how the Energetic Yellow stripe on my Power Spoke rims complements the yellow mirrors, grille blades, and MINI-E logos on my Moonwalk Grey 2021 SE. I like them so much that I put them on my SE only one day a year--yesterday's Drive Electric Earth Day event was that day. I've returned them to their honored spot in basement now and my everyday Loop Spoke rims are back on the car. The Power Spokes are now again safe from the greedy curbs in my town.
Do you know about the balancing accessory BMW had to create for the Power Spoke rims? Because the asymmetric wheel cover can't be on the wheel when the wheel is on a balancing machine, this accessory simulates the weight of the off-center part of the wheel cover. In the photo below I pointed out the part number in case you want to order one. If you don't get one of your own, you will have to always have a MINI dealer's service department balance your wheels after tire changes.
