It happened to us. Clarity rear ended.

Just wanted to second that I'm sorry to see this. My last car got hit by someone busy texting and driving. I was at a stop light, then wammo. My last car was at the end of its useful life, and I did have their insurance repair it, then gave it to a family member (then bought the Clarity).

Some other threads in this forum talk about getting depreciated value from the insurance company, and making sure the battery and frame are OK. i.e. may require specialized equipment. I think folks suggested using repair places that also repair Tesla (or have electric car experience). We wish you all the best in the process, and of course glad to hear you're all OK.

Slowed down to a stop ti let a car turn left......BAM rooled forward

No good deed goes unpunished. The incident may have impacted your spelling abilities.

What were the particulars of your stop? Was it the common situation where you’re stuck in stop and go traffic or about to come to a stop for a traffic signal, so you decided to leave a gap for the person waiting to turn left?

Let us know if this totals the car

Easily totaled. That’s the “good news” (along with them not being injured). The bad news is the OP now needs to buy another vehicle. GOOD LUCK!!! BTDT. Twice in the last six months.

Some possible good news is a used Clarity flies below the radar of most shoppers so less competition for the OP (and prices are OK; not great). I found the same thing with a used Prius vs a Prius Prime. If the OP wants something new, it’s gets real ugly, real quick.

Then..... there’s all the flood cars from the last storm(s) that will now need to be replaced.

And the flood of 'repaired' flood damaged cars in the used car market.

Not totaled
. Looking at 5k repaint this point.

I'm sure spell auto correct helped me...lol. Vehicle in front slowed to turn left in the center of devided road. Vehicle sticking out slightly so I had to stop.
