I believe that TSBs are only available to/from dealers and repair shops.I went to the Hyundai Canada website, but could not find the path to the subject Service Bulletin. JIC I am not the only one, could you please post the actual link, and/or the steps to get to the bulletin? Not all of us are tech savvy with this stuff. Thanks. ......Rickker

I just got the letter too WTF.... crazy..I got the stupid letter today about "March 2022". I guess we're all getting $850.
I saw articles today about Bolt batteries already shipping. It seems that despite our recall being 8 months earlier than Chevy's we are actually second in line for batteries. Another great job, Hyundai.
And do you notice that they don't even promise to complete it by then or even take responsibility for administering it? "Oh, if you haven't heard from us by March" call your dealer because, you know, it's none of our concern.
I feel for you guys, I suspected this all along , especially considering the production date of the replacement batteries. I'm glad I went on my letter writing campaign, cuz going thru winter at 80% is bs.I just got the letter too WTF.... crazy..
Hello out there,
I thought it might be useful to start a thread for us Canadian Kona owners going through battery recall R0183.
I know there are other threads that talk about this but as Canadians, we will be dealing with different laws, different dealerships, and Hyundai Canada among other things that set us apart.
My Ontario dealership is not so sure that the remedy will be a battery replacement but I don't put much faith in their input as EVs are not a priority for them. I usually know more about what's going on with their electrified vehicles than they do.
So, I reached out to Hyundai Canada customer relations and expressed my concern with the lack of information regarding this recall, my frustration at having to manage through a reduced range, keeping my car parked outside (to any of our American cousins reading it's not the cold that's a pain during our winters, the scheduled climate controls take care of that, it's having to clean off the snow and ice that build up overnight) and the fact that I could potentially have a ticking time bomb sitting in my driveway, literally - remember the Kona that exploded in Montreal!
Anyhow, they took my info and said they would get back to me in 2-3 business days. That was last Thursday and no word yet.
Have any of you had better results?
Has anyone received the $250 gift card?
Would anyone know how to start up interest in a class-action lawsuit like the one happening in Korea?
Question is... if the motor requires "brackets" to take the weight off the spline, why was it not included with the vehicle in the first place, like when it was manufactured. Is this something that will occur given time with all other vehicles without said "brackets"So my dealer called yesterday and said that I should come in for the "test" to determine whether I need a replacement. Further up this thread I shared my letter and the fact that when I called the dealer previously that they told me I was on the list for replacement and had no idea about the test mentioned in my letter. So who knows? I go in for the test on the 29th.
In the meantime, I have developed the cards in spokes noise and noted that with the dealer. They knew all about it, surprisingly, and told me that there are several steps to go through to resolve depending on the parts affected. The first was to install brackets to take weight off the spline that attaches to the motor after they inspect for excessive wear on the affected parts. If that doesn't resolve it, they start looking at other known remedies.
I got a feeling these "brackets" they are referring to are the motor mounts. That is what they are replacing on my car next week, I am doubtful if will help but then again maybe they have figured this out.Question is... if the motor requires "brackets" to take the weight off the spline, why was it not included with the vehicle in the first place, like when it was manufactured. Hey, look on the bright side. The longer it takes to get your new battery, the longer you will be able to enjoy your wonderful Kona before it gets old. I am still waiting for mine. Actually let me rephrase that. I am waiting as long as I can for when I get my battery...
You need to go after your dealer. If he says the submission was sent in, then check with Roman at Hyundai Canada. It took me a couple of iterations, but I finally got it. Will have to the same with the $850 if it gets delayed.I had my battery replaced but still haven’t seen any gift card

I have the Konda Electric Ultimate 2022, does this model have a battery recall?
